(2) Sponsored Walk Saturday 18th June 4 p.m.

We'll be holding a sponsored walk round Langsett Reservoir on Saturday 18th June, leaving from Langsett Barn Car Park at 4 p.m. There are a couple of lovely walks round the reservoir, one lasting about an hour and suitable for all ages (children and elderly relatives included!) and one lasting about one and a half hours. Sponsor forms will be sent out next week, so if you would like to have an enjoyable walk and chat with people at the same time as raising funds for school, this is the event for you!

Coming up in May...

Two things are scheduled for May:
(1) FBCS Planning Meeting on Monday 9th May at 7:30 p.m. in school
Everyone's very welcome to attend these informal evenings where we plan events and try to organise fund-raising activities.

(2) Bag2School Recycling scheme on Tuesday 17th May
We are running a recycling scheme twice a year that can raise funds for school. This scheme, run by Bag2School Ltd, involves bringing into school on a set date only quality second hand ladies’, men’s and children`s clothing, as well as bedding, curtains, soft toys, shoes, belts and handbags. We don't need any bric-à-brac or items other than those listed above. The collection date this term is Tuesday 17th May and all items must be received in school by 9.30 a.m. at the latest. The company collects all items and weighs them and the school receives up to 40p per kilo.

The last time we did this in November, we raised £88 which isn't bad for clearing out unwanted items you'd probably just take to the dump-it site or charity shop otherwise! I'll be sending out letters with bags next week, but you can start thinking about having that spring clean now in anticipation!
