At the AGM last night, we agreed that the new name of our organisation should be Friends of Hope House School. This will, therefore, be the last blog post for Friends of Barnsley Christian School and all future information will be on the new blog, which can be accessed here.

New year, new name, new activities...
The new academic year (2012-2013) is about to start, and with it the start of a new era, for Barnsley Christian School officially became Hope House School during the holidays. There are new signs on the door and new official documents on the office walls attesting to this fact.
We as an organisation of friends will obviously have to change our name too, but that will be decided at the Annual General Meeting next week. The AGM will be on Monday 10th September at 7.30 p.m. in school and we invite all parents, relatives and friends of the school to attend this important meeting where we will be electing officials, reviewing last year's activities and planning a host of social and fund-raising activities for the new academic year.
If you have any suggestions for activities or suggestions for our new name ('Friends of Hope House School'? Or something else?), please contact us to let us know. You can do this by commenting on the blog, by emailing school (admin@barnsleychristianschool.org.uk, for now), by phoning (01226 211011) or by calling in at school and leaving us a message. We really do want to hear from you all!
