God loves a cheerful giver!

The Bible tells us that God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor 9:7), teaching us that generosity is one of the hallmarks of God ("For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." 2 Cor 8:9) and has always been one of the hallmarks of God's people.

Today at school we were overwhelmed and gladdened by the generosity and kindness of an anonymous benefactor. When I went to my tray in the office, there was a gift for Friends of Barnsley Christian School of £1500!

£1500! One thousand five hundred pounds!! Fifteen hundred pounds!
However many times you say that number, in whatever language ("mille cinq cent livres!", "Siebzehnhunderteinundsiebzig Euros!"), that is a huge amount, which will go a long way to paying off the remainder on the Sports Hall flooring and allowing us to think about future projects in school.

We thank the givers for their kindness and generosity and pray God's richest blessings on them. We thank God for the way He uses people to provide for needs. We are so very grateful.

THANK YOU!!
