Welcome to the new blog of 'Friends of Barnsley Christian School'! Here, we hope to inform people about the activities planned and how you can be involved in raising funds for the school. You can also see the kind of things we do and can join in the many varied events we run.
The aims of F.B.C.S. are:
∙ To support the aims of the school and to bring together parents, staff, family and
friends by providing social events where all groups are able to relax together.
∙ To raise funds for equipment which the school could not otherwise afford.
∙ To encourage the bringing together of the talents of pupils, parents,
staff and friends for our mutual encouragement.
We have a busy term ahead and hope you will get involved with the forthcoming events:
1. BCS Has Got Talent/ Elvis Evening Saturday 27th November @ 7 p.m.
This will be a great evening of entertainment! Pupils from the school will be performing our very own X-Factor type show and after the break (where jacket potatoes will be served along with a variety of fillings such as chilli, beans, cheese or coleslaw) our very own Brian Lauden will be performing as Elvis. Tickets are available NOW from the office, priced £5.
2. Bake 'n' Take Thursday 9th December @ 3 p.m.
Home-made baking will be on sale at this event, and there will also be a number of prizes to be won. Guess the Weight of the Cake and you could win a fantastic Christmas cake! Guess the Value of the Hampers and you could win a luxury food hamper or a wonderful 'Pamper Hamper' for all your toiletries.
