Sports Day is coming! Next Friday (15th July) will be the school's Sports Day. Please read the following information carefully and ensure we have a safe and fun-packed day.
Pupils need to arrive in school at the usual time in school uniform. They will need their P.E. kits (with the appropriate coloured T-shirt for their team - red for Aylward members, blue for Hudson-Taylor, green for Wilberforce) and will also need:
* packed lunch & mid-morning snack
* a drink (including a bottle of water for during the races)
* sun-tan cream
* a sun hat
* a raincoat (you know what the weather can be like!)
A lollipop or ice-cream will be provided at lunchtime by FBCS.
The programme for the day is outlined below:
1) Sponsored Walk from 10-11 a.m.
2) Team races from 11.15 a.m. until 12.30 p.m.
3) Lunch & ice-cream/ lollipop
4) Penalty Shoot-out 1.30-2.15 p.m.
5) Parents' Races 2.15-3.00 p.m.
Parents are welcome to attend and we hope you will certainly be there to take part in the parents' races!
Sports Day will end at 3 p.m. and you are free to take your children home then. However, please note that we do need the reply slips returning so that we know exactly who will be leaving with parents from Shaw Lane and who needs to be escorted back to school. Please ensure these slips are returned by Wednesday 13th July at the latest.
Staff will escort pupils back to school for 3.30 p.m. if you are not able to pick your children up from Shaw Lane.
