Sports Day review

Photos to come next week, but first of all, a very big THANK YOU to all who made Sports Day a great success. Most of all, thanks to the pupils for competing so excellently and to parents for attending in great numbers and participating so well in the Parents' Races!

For the first time in several years, the sun shone on Sports Day and that made a big difference. The Big Walk at the start saw many pupils not only drinking water but splashing it everywhere to cool themselves down! Fun races and the penalty shoot-outs were closely contested, but Hudson-Taylor won not only the Christina Mulder Sports Day Trophy but the school house shield as well. Well done to the blue team!

If sponsor monies could be handed in before the end of term, that would be great. We can then give you a total of all that you have raised throughout the year.

Just a few other notes:
1) The Bag2School recycling event held in May raised £60. Thanks for that!
2) Plans are ongoing for the 25th anniversary celebrations next academic year. We hope to hold a special assembly in school and then a 1980s celebration evening on Saturday 1st October. Watch this space for further details!
3) The FBCS AGM will be held at the start of next term on Monday 19th September in school, starting at 7.30 p.m. YOU ARE ALL WELCOME! It's a time to look back on all we've done and look ahead to all we want to achieve and it's great to see new faces at that.
